Dr. Kim Ipock grew up in the piedmont of North Carolina in Rowan county. She got her first pony when she was 6 and has been obsessed with horses ever since. She was very active in 4-H and rode hunt seat, western, and did pleasure driving as a teenager. When she was 16 she went to school at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham (Go Unicorns!!). She then attended NC State for both undergraduate and veterinary school, graduating in 1993. She moved to Kinston for her first job where she married her husband, Robert. She opened Institute Mobile Veterinary Services in 1996 and has been in La Grange ever since. Her special veterinary interests are preventative care, dentistry, and reproduction. In her “free time” she enjoys showing the AQHA circuit with her horse, Rita, spending time with her son, Aren, and playing with the Haflingers and English Shepherds at the clinic.

Dr. Debra Maxwell is a recent graduate of NC State College of Veterinary Medicine where she specialized in large animal medicine with a focus on ruminant health, but she enjoys working with all species. Debra grew up in eastern North Carolina in Onslow County where she started riding horses at a young age and was an active 4-H participant. Debra also attended NC State for her undergraduate degree where she majored in Animal Science and minored in Nutrition. During her time at NC State, Debra also showed western pleasure through the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association on the NC State Western Equestrian Team. She is looking forward to moving back to eastern NC with her dog, Bo, and her horse, Chase. In her spare time, she enjoys trail riding, spending time with her family, or walking her dog.
